2. Types of Data Processed
We process the following categories of personal data:
• Contact data: Name, email address (when using the contact form)
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps (server logs)
• Usage data: Language settings, cookie preferences
• Communication data: Content of inquiries via the contact form
No processing during local use: When you use KI DEVment with local AI (Ollama), all data remains on your device. We have no access to this data.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing
3.1 Contact (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR)
The processing of your data via the contact form is based on your voluntary consent, which you can revoke at any time.
3.2 Website Usage (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR)
The processing of technical data is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests in the security and functionality of the website.
3.3 Cookies and Language Settings (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR)
The storage of language settings and cookie preferences is based on your consent.
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses only necessary cookies:
• Language setting (language): Stores your preferred language (1 day)
• Session (PHPSESSID): Enables website functionality (session)
• Cookie consent (cookieConsent): Stores your cookie decision (1 year)
No tracking: We do not use analytics tools, tracking pixels, or similar technologies. No data is transmitted to advertising networks.
5. Storage Duration
The storage duration of your data depends on the respective processing purposes:
• Contact data: Deleted after completion of communication, unless legal retention obligations exist (max. 6 months)
• Server logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days
• Cookies: See section 4 for respective validity periods
Once the purpose of storage no longer applies and no legal retention obligations exist, your data will be deleted.
6. Recipients and Data Transfer
Your personal data is generally not transferred to third parties. Exceptions:
• Technical service providers: Our hosting provider (for server infrastructure)
• Google reCAPTCHA: For spam protection in the contact form (only when using the form)
• Legal provisions: In case of legal obligation or official order
Note on Google reCAPTCHA: Google reCAPTCHA v3 is used when submitting the contact form. This is subject to Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

8. Special Notes on the Software
KI DEVment as Open Source Software:
The software can be installed and operated locally on your device. When using with local AI (Ollama):
• All project files remain on your device
• No transfer of code or data to us
• No cloud connection required
• Complete data sovereignty with the user
Optional OpenAI mode: When using OpenAI API, data is transmitted to OpenAI. This is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
9. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers
• Regular security updates of the server
• Access restrictions on personal data
• No storage of sensitive data without necessity
Please note: The transmission of data over the Internet (e.g., via email) may have security vulnerabilities.
